No one can deny that Ichiro Suzuki will one day have a plaque in Cooperstown. The Japanese-born superstar holds the single season hits record and has 10 consecutive seasons of 200 or more hits - more than any players since records were first kept. If you add in the hits he compiled while playing in Japan to his Major League total and Ichiro Suzuki has more than even Ty Cobb and Pete Rose - the most of any man to ever play the game.
With his record number of hits piling up, it’s easy to overlook what Ichiro does on the field. In 2010, the season he used this Mizuno glove, Ichiro won his 10th consecutive Gold Glove Award, tying Ken Griffey, Jr, Andrew Jones and Al Kaline. He also won his second consecutive Fielding Bible Award for best right fielder in the game.
This black leather Mizuno 2010-7 model fielder’s glove shows very light use. The pocket shows some scuffing and abrasions from use and white leather welting is slightly discolored. The leather lacing is intact and original. The fleece wrist strap shows very light perspiration staining. “Ichiro” is embroidered in silver thread on the outside of the thumb. The future Hall of Famer has signed just above the embroidered name in silver pen adding his number “#51” and “10GU”. An Ichiro hologram has been affixed beside the signature. The glove comes with a Mizuno cloth and leather drawstring carrying bag. This game used and signed glove comes with a letter of authenticity from Mill Creek signed by Ichiro Suzuki.
