2021 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Kobe Bryant won his fifth and final NBA Title in 2010. Many basketball pundits questioned whether Bryant could bring a championship to Los Angeles without the aid of Shaquille O'Neal, and Bryant proved the doubters wrong by winning back-to-back titles. The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics in seven games, the first series to go the distance since 2005. An exciting Game 7 saw the Lakers down by 13 early in the third quarter, with Bryant aided by the stellar play of Pau Gasol and Ron Artest to finish the Celtics off 83-79. Bryant averaged 11.3 rebounds, 22.0 assists, 2.9 steals, and 18.7 points per game during the series and earned his second consecutive Finals MVP Award, proving once and for all that Bryant had the talent to lead an NBA team to greatness on his own. Presented here is a finger guard by the late Kobe Bryant during the 2010 NBA Finals, the last Finals series of his storied career. The finger guard is white and was presumably under the tape. Kobe wore white tape over the finger guard for the Laker's home games in Los Angeles and black for the three games in Boston. This guard features the number "24" in purple across the top. The finger band displays excellent game use and contains sweat stains throughout the band. The item was given to our immaculate source, who wishes to remain anonymous by Bryant after Game 7. The letter of authenticity from MEARS (318060), who reviewed all available images, states that Bryant wore white finger tape during Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 in Los Angeles. In contrast, he wore black finger tape for Games 3, 4, and 5 in Boston, and they presume that it was worn under the tape as it is not visible in any 2010 NBA Finals game images that they could locate.
