Alex Rodriguez continued his march towards 700 home runs when he used this Louisville Slugger C271L model bat during the May 21st, 2011 game against the New York Mets to hit his 622nd career home run. AROD’s ninth home run of the 2011 season came off of Mets’ pitcher Chris Capuano in the sixth inning and his solo shot was the final run the Yankees scored in their 7-3 victory at Yankee Stadium.
This offered bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, white leather scuffs and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a light coating of pine tar on the upper handle and the bat’s manufacture date “3/21/2011” and length/weight “34.0/32.0” has been stamped on the knob. AROD has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “game used 5-21-11 Career Homerun #622”. This bat comes with a signed LOA from Alex Rodriguez authenticating the bat’s use and his signature, plus an MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ493198), which authenticates that Rodriguez used this bat during the May 21st, 2011 game.
