On June 11, 2011, Alex Rodriquez resumed his relentless march to reach 700 career home runs. Facing Cleveland’s Mitch Talbot in the bottom of the 4th inning, A-Rod blasted a solo shot over the left field wall for career homer number 626. The Louisville Slugger C271L model bat he used to hit that milestone homer displays heavy use. Many ball marks with stitch impressions and white leather ball scuffs are found on the left, front and back barrel and cleat impression abound on all sides. The imprint of a weighted batting donut is present, and a moderate coat of Mota Stick has been applied to the handle. A-Rod has signed the barrel and inscribed, “Game Used 6-11-11 Career HR #626” in silver marker. This bat comes with a LOA from Alex Rodriguez and MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ493513) for the game use and signature.
