After a stunning collapse in the 2010 NHL playoffs where the Philadelphia Flyers erased a 3-0 games deficit to defeat the Boston Bruins, the Bruins came back with a vengeance to not only sweep the Flyers in four games the following playoffs, they steamrolled their way to victory in the Stanley Cup finals against the Vancouver Canucks. It was the Bruins first Stanley Cup title in 39 years and the franchise’s sixth overall.
This offered ring is furnished in 10K white gold, with the front of this Jostens championship ring displaying the Bruins logo with the Stanley Cup in the background filled with princess and round-cut diamonds. Flanking each side are “STANLEY CUP” and “CHAMPIONS”. The right shank has “PLOURDE” in raised relief above the alternate Boston Bruins logo. There are six total diamonds on this shank and “PJ5” is in raised relief below the Bruins logo. The opposite side pays homage to the previous teams Stanley Cup triumphs with a raised “Stanley Cup” trophy with “2011” displayed prominently in raised relief and the years”1972, 1970, 1941, 1939 and 1929”. On the inside of this 9 ¼ ring that weighs approximately 46 grams are etched the logos of the four teams the Bruins defeated to hoist the Cup, along with the series’ scores and the NHL logo in the center. “JOSTENS © 10K” is also engraved on the interior face of the ring.
