Before he reverted to his real first name Giancarlo, Mike Stanton hit the farthest home run shots in the National League. In 2011, the year this bat was used by him, Stanton hit 34 home runs to drive in 87 runs. As would be expected, his un-cracked Marucci RH6 model cherry bat shows outstanding with use with ball marks and stitch impressions covering the barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and cleat imprints are visible along with green bat rack paint streaks. As proof of Stanton’s fiery approach to the game, there is a deep depression in the bat’s left barrel, most likely from one of his rare strike outs. The bat’s length is 34 inches and weighs 32.8 ounces. The date (8/15/11), Giancarlo’s number “27” and the weight (2.0) are stamped on the knob. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B11164) and has awarded it their highest grade of “GU 10”.
