Before bursting onto the Major League scene with the Chicago White Sox in 2014, Jose Abreu was representing Cuba in the Pan American Games in Mexico in 2011. Abreu used this Louisville Slugger I13 model bat while playing for Cuba in 2011. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There is checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel and a light coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel. The date of manufacture “06 17 11” has been stamped on the knob. Abreu has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “79”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13688) for the game use and a COA from JSA (AA07274) for the signature.
