As 2011 dawned, it appeared Lance Berkman’s All-Star career was at an end. The Yankees passed on his contract, and only St. Louis was willing to take a chance on the 300 Home Run Club member. The Card’s gamble paid off as Berkman had a career resurgence capped off by hitting his 350th career homer in July and then leading the team into the post-season. It was Berkman who scored the winning run in Game 6, saving the Cards from elimination and setting up the climactic Game 7 in which St. Louis won the Championship. Berkman’s 2011 Louisville Slugger C271L model bat offered here is un-cracked and shows excellent use. The barrel is covered with ball marks with blue ink transfers. This bat comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14117) for the game use.
