The greatest closer the game has ever produced, Mariano Rivera was hot in pursuit of the career saves record in 2011 when he used this custom Nike glove. Rivera's full name is embroidered in white script on the outside of the thumb, and his number 42 appears on the wrist strap by the Nike logo. As with all of his gloves, this Rivera mitt is embroidered with a custom "PHIL 4:13" inscription below his name, a reference to Bible verse Philippians 4:13. Rivera has signed the glove on the ring and pinky finger area in silver ink, adding the notation "Road to 602" and "11 game used". The glove comes with a Steiner Certificate of Authenticity signed by Mariano Rivera.
