Great game used bat dates from Trout’s spring training with the Angels and his final minor league season. After winning the Topps 2010 Minor League Player of the Year Award and training with the Angels the following spring, Trout was assigned to one last season in the minors.
Playing for the Angels’ AA Arkansas Travelers, the minor league’s most heralded prospect didn’t disappoint - in 90 games he hit .326 with 11 home runs, 38 RBIs, 82 runs scored and 33 stolen bases. Baseball America named him the 2011 Minor League Player of the Year and his outstanding work earned him an August call-up with the big club. His 2012 numbers in his first full season in the majors are simply unreal and he was voted the AL Rookie of the Year. Only Cabrera’s Triple Crown season kept Trout from claiming the AL MVP Award as well. This is a tremendously game used Mike Trout model Old Hickory bat used during his 2011 spring training and stint with the Arkansas Travelers. The bat is un-cracked and bears the marks of much contact. Ball marks and stitch impressions can be seen along with blue ink transfers. Cleat impressions are present on the barrel. The lower portion of the handle has taped for better grip and there is a heavy coat of Mota stick up to the Old Hickory logo. Trout’s number “90” which he wore during the Angels’ spring training is hand written in black marker on the knob end. The length “33.5”, model and Trout’s name is stamped into the barrel, beside which he has signed his name and “2011 G/U” in blue marker.
