Once in a while a kid comes along whose talent is so special, so rare, that you cannot help but know he is destined for greatness - Ted William, Mickey Mantle, Derek Jeter - and Mike Trout. Entering the Angels organization right out of high school, it must have taken all the Angels restraint not to hurry this kid along. The big club prudently gave the teen just over two seasons of minor league experience before finally bringing him up to the big club in June of 2011. As such, despite his young age anything from Trout's minor league days are scarce - he just wasn't there long enough to leave much memorabilia behind! None-the-less, Trout donned this desert camouflage jersey during the May 15, 2011 game against the Tulsa Drillers, mere weeks before he got the call. Uncharacteristically, the future phenom went hitless that day, one of the rare occasions during a season that saw him hitting the ball at a .326 clip. The jersey is in desert camo with the "Travelers" script across the chest in black, olive drab and ivory. Trout has signed the front just below the team name in black Sharpie. Size 48 OT Authentic label is sewn in the left front tail. An American flag patch is sewn on the left sleeve and the back has Trout's number "23" in black tackle twill. The young star has signed just below the "3" in black Sharpie adding "5/15/11". A great gamer from one of the earliest stops on Mike Trout's road to Cooperstown. Letter of Authenticity from Paul Allen, GM of the Travelers.
