Led by wide receiver Mohamed Sanu – who had a remarkable 115 receptions for 1,206 yards and 7 TDs – the Rutgers University football team went 8-4 during the 2011 regular season. This was quite the improvement over the team’s 4-8 finish in 2010, and it propelled head coach Greg Schiano’s squad into the 2011 Pinstripe Bowl, where the Scarlet Knights would take on Iowa State. Rutgers won the contest – played in Yankee Stadium – by a final score of 27-13. Aside from Sanu, the Scarlet Knights were led on offense by running back Jawan Jamison (897 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns) and the quarterback tandem of Chas Dodd and Gary Nova, each who threw for at least 1,500 yards and 10 TDs. Defensively, Rutgers fielded a team that allowed just 18.3 points per game (eighth-lowest in the country).
Offered here is a Balfour manufactured 2011 New Era Pinstripe Bowl Rutgers University player ring presented to defensive back and wide receiver Quron Pratt. The face displays the game’s logo, highlighted in blue enamel, and surrounded by CZs. Centering one shank is a raised image of Yankee Stadium, with the name “PRATT” above it and the Rutgers ‘R” – on a football – below. The opposite shank shows images of both Iowa State and Rutgers helmets, appearing between the Big East and Big 12 Conference logos. Also displayed is “NEW ERA PINSTRIPE BOWL” at the top and “2011” at the bottom. Engraved inside the band is the player’s name (Quron Pratt) as well as the Balfour stamp and “CEL” (Celestrium). This ring weighs approximately 30.5 grams and is an approximate size 10.
