With the second most World Series victories following the New York Yankees, the St. Louis Cardinals won their 11th World Series in 2011 after a dramatic come-from-behind 11-inning victory, over the Texas Rangers in Game Six to stave off elimination. Hometown hero David Freese won the Series MVP Award, knocking a game-winning walk off home run in Game Six and drove in a team-leading seven runs in seven games. Chris Carpenter was the winning pitcher in games One and Seven. This palladium , size 11.5 48-gram ring contains the Cardinals classic bird-on-bat logo formed by a group of faceted red rubies, creating the shape of the bird’s body and the bat on which it is perched over a sparkling bed of cubic zirconia. “World Champions” is in raised relief over more cz at the top and bottom of the ring’s perimeter. Most likely a staff-issue ring, the name “Oliver” is in raised relief on the right shank above the Cardinals interlocking STL logo cast in more red rubies and surrounded by leaves used in the 2011 MLB World Series logo. Above the crossed bats and the Cardinals famous “Rally Squirrel” scampering across home plate are the years, 1926, 1931, 1934, 1942 and 1944 denoting the team’s first five World Series titles. “2011 St. Louis Cardinals” a sculpted relief of Busch Stadium’s Gate Three Bridge and the Stan Musial statue with the number “11” in red rubies above the words “World Series Titles” on top of the years 2006, 1982, 1967, 1964 and 1946 comprising the rest of the Cardinals Fall Classic victories are on the left shank. Interior engraving contains the Cardinals and post season opponents logos, and accompanied by each post season series games won and lost results above the team’s “Happy Flight” clubhouse phrase. Jostens©SEW is also engraved on the interior band. Ring is kept in a black cardboard jewelers box and comes with a 7” x 10” x 3” polished red wood box with “St. Louis Cardinals 2011 World Champions etched glass top. Please note the printed catalog errantly states diamonds instead of CZ.
