The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was honored with this proclamation from the Office of the Mayor of Dayton, Ohio, upon his visit to the University of Dayton in 2011 as a part of the University of Dayton Diversity Lecture Series. During his time at the University of California, Los Angeles, Abdul-Jabbar led his Bruins to a victory over Dayton in the 1967 NCAA Tournament title game. This proclamation was issued on March 14th, 2011 and is presented in a white folder bearing the City of Dayton seal. This item comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
