Since the day he debuted for the Denver Nuggets as a 19-year old out of Syracuse University, Carmelo Anthony has generated buzz. After earning the 2003 Final Four Outstanding Player Award, Anthony has played in seven NBA All-Star game and is a perennial top-10 in point-per-game, field-goals, free-throws, and cumulative points. The power-forward returned to New York, his birthplace, when he joined the Knicks during the 2010 – ’11 season.
Anthony wore this Knicks uniform in its 116 – 107 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers on December 13, 2012. He scored 30 points on 10 for 15 shooting and 7 for 8 from the free-throw line.
The white, mesh home uniform top has “New York” arced across the chest in orange-blue tackle-twill, with a similar “7” below. Collar and sleeves are cuffed in blue-orange-gray trim. The reverse has “”ANTHONY” in blue tackle-twill arced across the shoulders and an orange-blue tackle-twill “7” below. An orange-blue embroidered Knicks medallion is stitched above the name.
On the lower left hip, are the NBA identification tag with NBA logo, catchphrase “Every Player, Every Game,” and serial number “NKN01263; the Adidas manufacturer tag, with size “L,” NBA logo, “Clima Cool,” and Player ID (in which is written “v Lakers 12/13/12 MSG”; and tailor tag, “LENGTH +2”.” Inside the left side seam are the laundering/materials tag and QR code tag with “7/12 W51868 AZB001” printed on it. Above these tags is a black, elongated pocket.
Legs on the size 4XL shorts are cuffed in blue-orange-gray trim. The Knicks logo adorns the left thigh. The NBA logo the right.
The shorts sport similar tags as the top. At the rear center waistband can be found the Adidas manufacturer tag (4XL), tailor tag, laundering/materials tag and QR code tag. The waistband is pulled tight with a white pull-string.
Evidence of game use is imperceptible. An LOA from Steiner Sports Memorabilia (#162997) accompanies this item, verifying its authenticity.
