After winning the 2011 BCS Championship (courtesy of a 21-0 shutout against LSU), the Alabama Crimson Tide came out better than ever in the 2012 season. They would finish with a record of 13-1, rank number one in the final AP poll, and win another national title after beating Notre Dame 42-14 in the BCS Championship. QB A.J. McCarron threw for 2,933 yards with 30 touchdowns against just three interceptions. The Tide had two running backs rush for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns each (Eddie Lacy: 1,322 yards, 17 TDs; T.J. Yeldon: 1,108 yards, 12 TDs). Amari Cooper caught 59 balls good for an even 1,000 yards and 11 TDs.
Presented here is a Jostens 2012 Alabama Crimson Tide BCS national championship ring, featuring the number “1” on a red football-shaped stone. CZs surround the center stone, forming another football shape, while “NATIONAL CHAMPIONS” reads on the outer perimeter. One shank features the teams and final score of the championship game above a logo declaring Alabama “BACK TO BACK NATIONAL CHAMPIONS”. The number “15” appears in the image of a football, signifying this as the 15th national championship in school history, while the year “2012” appears at the bottom. A BCS logo – topped with a CZ in the football – centers the opposite side of the ring, with the name “WOODSON” above and “CRIMSON TIDE” below. The manufacturer mark appears inside the band of this Silver Elite ring along with the name “Danny Woodson”. This ring is an approximate size 12 and weighs approximately 53.7 grams.
