Nothing could have been more exciting for Angels fans than the signing of Albert Pujols. The 9-time All-Star’s arrival at Angel Stadium invigorated the team and they missed the 2012 post-season by the narrowest of margins. This helmet was used by Pujols in the May 12, 2012 win over the Rangers in which he went 1 for 3 with a walk. The game was a special throwback game and the Angels wore their 1972 home uniforms. The size 7 3/8 Rawlings helmet sports the classic halo “A” worn in 1972 and boasts the team’s navy blue and red color scheme from that era. Pujols’ number “5” has been hand written in black marker on the Rawlings tagging inside and also is present on a white sticker affixed to the back of the helmet. The helmet shows moderate game use and is striking in its colorful simplicity. A numbered MLB hologram sticker is affixed inside the helmet. Letter of authenticity from the Los Angeles Angels.
