San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates wore this navy Chargers jersey during San Diego’s 31-7 loss to the Carolina Panthers at Qualcomm Stadium on December 16th, 2012. Gates scored the Chargers lone touchdown of the game on a seven-yard reception from Philip Rivers in the fourth quarter. This was the 81st touchdown of Gates’ exceptional career, and one of his seven of the 2012 season. Gates finished the year with 49 catches for 538 receiving yards in the 10th season of a Hall of Fame career.
This offered Chargers jersey is navy, with Gates’ number “85” sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white, light blue, and yellow tackle twill. “GATES” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill over a matching blue nameplate. The Chargers lightning bolt logo is sewn on each shoulder in yellow, blue, navy and white tackle twill. Sewn on the chest is a “Chargers” wordmark, a NFL logo, and the Hall of Fame 50th anniversary patch. A Nike size “44 L-BK” tag with an attached “2012” year flag is sewn on the back inside collar.
