Chipper Jones singled to right on September 14, 1993 in his first at-bat of his career and in bookend fashion, singled to right of Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher A.J. Burnett as a pinch-hitter in the sixth inning in his final regular season at-bat, his 2,726th career hit as the Atlanta Braves defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park 4-0 on October 2, 2012.
Jones wore this Majestic Cool Base button-down gray jersey on 10/2/2012 and likely for several road games prior. The jersey has “Atlanta” stitched on in cursive red and blue tackle twill over a tomahawk. A blue/red/blue piping is sewn on to each sleeve run vertically along each side of the buttons and around the collar. “JONES” is stitched on in navy blue on a matching gray name plate on the back along with his number “10” that is sewn on in red and blue. The team tag has been sewn on beneath the Majestic tag on the front left tail “48 ‘12 S13”. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK234720) and a LOA from JSA (Y80530) for his signature.
