This Allan H. Selig Official Major League baseball was used during the final game of future Hall of Famer Chipper Jones’ career. The 1999 National League MVP finished his career with 468 home runs, a batting average over .300, and almost 3,000 hits. Jones, who spent his entire career with the Atlanta Braves, made eight All-Star teams with the Braves.

This ball was used in the Braves vs Pirates game on October 3, 2012, at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. It was used during the top of the second inning, when AJ Burnett threw a pitch in the dirt to Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons. Later, Jones signed it in blue pen on the sweet spot, adding the inscription “Game Used 10/3/12”. This ball shows excellent use, including a large dirt stain beneath the sweet spot. This ball comes with a PSA/DNA STICKER ONLY (4A62604) for Jones’ signature and a MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ 765721) for the game use on October 3rd.
