David Wright wore this blue “Los Mets” alternate jersey during the Mets August 24, 2012 game against the visiting Houston Astros, then still a National League team. Wright went 2-4 that day with a solo home run. This home run, the 200th of Wright’s career, would be the only run the Mets scored that day, as they fell to the Astros 3-1.

Wright’s home run put him in third place on the Mets all-time home run list, although he has since passed Mike Piazza to claim the second spot on the list. Wright finished the 2012 season with 21 home runs, 93 RBI, a .306 batting average, and a spot in the All-Star Game.

This Majestic button-down jersey features “Los Mets” sewn across the front in white-on-orange tackle twill. Wright’s number “5” is on the chest and back, sewn on in white-on-orange tackle twill. Orange piping runs down the front of the jersey, around the collar, and around the opening of the sleeves. “WRIGHT” is sewn across the back shoulders in white-on-orange tackle twill below a blue and orange MLB logo. A circular Mets “50th Anniversary” logo is sewn on the left sleeve. The right sleeve has a memorial patch for Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter. The patch is in the form of a black home plate, and features “Kid 8” in white inside the plate. This jersey features light game use.

A Majestic size “46” tag is applied to the front left tail of the jersey below a blue patch that reads “5 46 ’12 LM S2.” A Majestic “COOL BASE” tag is attached to the left side of the jersey. Wright signed this jersey in silver Sharpie below the “5” on the back, adding the inscription, “200th HR 8/24/12.” This jersey comes with a Mets COA and a MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ 801038).
