Boston Red Sox sparkplug second baseman Dustin Pedroia wore this white home jersey during the Sox game against the Kansas City Royals on August 27th, 2012. The Red Sox won this game 5-1, with Pedroia chipping in with a single and a run scored in the 3rd inning. Pedroia, the 2008 American League MVP, was one of the few bright spots for the Red Sox in an off season, finishing with 15 home runs and a .290 batting average while playing exceptional defense at second.

This jersey has “RED SOX” sewn across the front in red-on-blue tackle twill. Red piping runs parallel to the buttons and around the collar and Pedroia’s number “15” is sewn on the back in red-on-blue tackle twill. A MLB logo is sewn on the outside back collar and a number “6” memorial patch for Hall of Famer Johnny Pesky is sewn on the left arm, while a Fenway Park 100th anniversary patch is sewn on the right. A Majestic logo is sewn below the Pesky patch and a Majestic Authentic Collection patch is applied to the bottom left tail, above a “15 42 ‘12” sizing patch. A Majestic “COOL BASE” flag is attached to the left side. The underarms of this jersey are made of a white mesh fabric. This jersey shows good signs of game use, with heavy dirt staining on the front and sleeves. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 166442), dating it to the August 27th game and comes with a photo match from Resolution Photomatching, who have photo matched this jersey to three games. Two of those games, August 23rd and August 26th, Pedroia hit a home run.
