When the Cleveland Browns drafted Wisconsin left tackle Joe Thomas with the third overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft, they knew they were getting a tough, durable, blocking savant. What they did not know was just how incredible Thomas would for the next decade, making 10 Pro Bowls and six First Team All-Pro selections. Thomas did not miss a single play from the moment he was drafted in 2007 until he tore his triceps in an October 2017 contest against the Tennessee Titans, an event that led to his premature retirement. Thomas played an unprecedented 10,363 consecutive snaps for the Browns and will surely be enshrined in Canton when his time comes.

Thomas wore this Schutt helmet in 2012, for games on December 9th, a 30-7 home win against Kansas City, December 23rd, a 34-12 road loss to Denver, and for Cleveland’s final game of the season, a 24-10 road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This helmet is orange, with a brown-white-brown stripe bisecting the crown. A NFL shield, “S.H.E.S.” decal, American flag decal, and number “73” sticker are all applied to the back of the helmet. The facemask of this helmet is gray with a Browns bumper applied to the forehead. A similar Browns decal is located on the back of the helmet. The chinstrap is affixed to the helmet. Thomas has signed the left side of the crown of this helmet in black marker. He inscribed “73” below his signature. This helmet has been photo matched to the December 9th, 23rd, and 30th games by Sports Investors, who have provided a LOA. Additionally, a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C73109) covers Thomas’ signature.
