Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan wore this 1966 throwback jersey during the Falcons 23-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints on November 29th, 2012. Ryan’s steady hand guided the Falcons to victory, with the former Boston College standout passing for 165 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. The Falcons defense forced opposing quarterback Drew Brees into five interceptions, and ended his NFL-record streak of 54 consecutive games with a touchdown pass. This win pushed the Falcons record to 11-1, and they would finish the season with a 13-3 mark and the NFC South crown. Ryan, the 2016 NFL MVP, led the Falcons to the NFC Championship Game, where they fell in a heart-stopping 28-24 contest to Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers.

This jersey is all-black, and a throwback to the uniforms from the Falcons inaugural 1966 season. Ryan’s number “2” is sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white and red tackle twill. “RYAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in white and red tackle twill over a matching black nameplate. Retro Falcons logos are screen printed on each sleeve below a white Nike swoosh patch. A vinyl NFL logo is sewn on the collar, and a Nike size “44 Q-BK” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. A “2012” flag is attached to the Nike tag. Velcro patches are sewn inside each sleeve. This item comes with a COA from the Atlanta Falcons.
