Just how special was Miguel Cabrera’s 2012 season? The Detroit Tigers third baseman became the first player since Boston Carl Yastrzemski in 1967 to achieve Major League Baseball’s elusive Triple Crown award. Cabrera posted a .330 batting average with 44 home runs and 139 RBI that season to earn the feat. This Cabrera game-used grey button-down Tigers road jersey was worn by the 2012 Triple Crown winner during the 2012 season.

The Majestic gray button-down jersey worn by Cabrera during his Triple Crown regular season features “Detroit” scripted across the chest in navy blue, orange and white tackle twill with navy blue piping running around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The back of the jersey has “CABRERA” across the top back and his number “24” on both sides in navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. The front left tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label with a white strip tag below that reads “24 52 ’12 ST 172.” Tigers’ clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel marked the manufacturer’s label “JSG” in black marker to verify the jersey was worn by Cabrera. Cabrera signed his name in silver marker on the center of the “4” on the back of the jersey inscribing “24”. Cabrera also inscribed “TRIPLE CROWN 2012” diagonally on the “4” and “GAME USED” on the base of the “4”. This jersey shows light use and comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AB12586) for the signature and inscriptions and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
