After finishing the 2012 season with an extremely disappointing 69-93 record, the Boston Red Sox set their sights on a much better season in 2013. By any measure, they may have exceeded even their own expectations, winning 97 games in finishing first in the AL East before storming through the playoffs all the way to a World Series title. David Ortiz hit .309 with 30 home runs and 103 runs batted in; Dustin Pedroia had a .301 batting average with 91 runs scored; Jacoby Ellsbury hit .298 to go along with 52 stolen bases. On the mound, Jon Lester led the team with 15 wins, while Clay Buchholz – in 16 starts – recorded a remarkable 12-1 record and 1.74 ERA. The Red Sox took the Fall Classic in six games over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Presented here is a 2013 Boston Red Sox World Series championship staff ring comprised of diamonds and red and blue stones. A Red Sox team logo appears over the Commissioner’s Trophy – marked “2013” – while “BOSTON RED SOX WORLD CHAMPIONS” reads in relief work. One shank displays an image of Fenway Park, as the name “BARRY” appears at the top and “RED SOX” at the bottom. A Boston Strong logo is shown on the opposite shank, with the year “2013” below. Inside the band is marked “© JOSTENS SEW” (Silver Elite) along with “BEARDED BROTHERS” and the date “10-30-13”. This ring weighs approximately 56.6 grams and is an approximate size 9 ½. The item comes with the original lighted presentation box, marked “BOSTON RED SOX WORLD CHAMPIONS 2013 JACK BARRY”.
