Houston Astros star shortstop Carlos Correa wore this black batting helmet during his time with the Quad Cities River Bandits in 2013. The first overall pick of the 2012 MLB Draft spent the entire 2013 regular season with the Midwest League club, playing in 117 games and putting up a Triple Crown slash line of .320/9/86 in his age-18 season. The future All-Star made his MLB debut in 2015 and won the American League Rookie of the Year award, setting the stage for the Astros historic run to the World Series title in 2017.
This black, dual-flapped batting helmet has the Quad Cities logo applied to the front of the helmet, covered in a liberal coating of pine tar. The helmet shows outstanding use with scuffing on all sides. Correa’s number “1”, worn with the Astros as well, a Rawlings S100 logo, and a MiLB logo are applied to the back of the helmet. A second “1” is applied to the interior of this size 7 3/8 batting helmet. This batting helmet comes with a LOA from JT Sports.
