Due to a labor dispute between the National Hockey League and its players association (NHLPA), the 2012-13 NHL regular season was shortened to just 48 games. The Chicago Blackhawks certainly made them count. Posting a remarkable 36-7-5 record, Chicago ranked second in the league in goals scored and first in fewest goals allowed. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews each played in 47 games, with both scoring better than one point per game (Kane finished the season with 55 points, Toews with 48). Goalies Corey Crawford and Ray Emery split time, posting identical 1.94 goals against averages. The Blackhawks’ 2013 season concluded with a Stanley Cup Finals victory over the Boston Bruins in six games, including a dramatic Game 6 where the Blackhawks scored two goals in a 15-second span late in the third period to clinch the series victory.
Presented here is a Jostens 14K gold 2013 Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Champions ring, highlighted by a diamond-filled Blackhawks logo set on custom-cut tapered rubies. The logo includes 34 round brilliant-cut diamonds and four marquise diamonds, while the top of the ring boasts “STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS” and is enhanced by 120 round brilliant-cut diamonds. One shank features five images of Stanley Cup trophies – comprised of diamonds – with four of the Cups marked with the year won (34, 38, 61, 10), while the top of the large center trophy sits between the enamel-filled year “2013”. A crossed-tomahawks team logo adorns the opposite shank, made up of seven custom-cut genuine rubies and two genuine pear-shaped emeralds. The letter “C” features 25 round brilliant-cut yellow diamonds. “LAWSON” reads above the logo, with “BLACKHAWKS” below. Engravings inside the band include the words “ONE GOAL” and postseason opponents and results. The JOSTENS 14K mark also appears inside the band. Total approximate weights of the stones in this ring are as follows: 222 round white diamonds (4.58 total carats), four marquise diamonds (1.35 carats total), 25 yellow diamonds (0.15 carats total), with the rubies totaling 8.10 carats and the two emeralds with a total of 0.50 carats. This ring is an approximate size 12 and weighs approximately 87.8 grams. This ring also includes the original hinged wooden display box with etched glass that features the team logo and reads “CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS 2013 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS LAWSON”. This item comes with a LOA from Strength and Conditioning Coach Shane Lawson and a COA from Jostens.
