Baez, Baseball America’s number 16 prospect heading into 2013, split the season between A+ Daytona and AA Tennessee, hitting .294 with 20 homers and 50 RBI for the Smokies. Between the two levels, Baez put up a prolific .282/37/111 Triple Crown slash line. Baez enjoyed a breakout season with the Cubs in 2018, finishing second in the National League MVP race after hitting .290 with 34 homers and a NL-best 111 RBI.
