Former Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland wore this blue batting practice jersey before the 2013 MLB All-Star Game at Citi Field. Leyland, in his last MLB season, managed the American League to a 3-0 victory over the National League squad.
This blue one button pullover jersey has “AMERICAN” sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “LEYLAND” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill beneath a vinyl blue and orange MLB logo. “10” is also sewn on the back in blue and white tackle twill with a star pattern inside the digits. A 2013 ASG patch is sewn on the left arm, while an Olde English Tigers “D” logo is sewn on the right arm. The side and underarm areas feature orange mesh fabric. A Majestic 2013 All-Star Game tag is sewn on the front left tail. Leyland signed the “1” digit in silver marker, adding the inscription “BP Jersey” on the “0”. This jersey comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C03611) for the signature and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for the game use.
