Regarded as the most promising young Orioles to come up since Cal Ripken Jr., 2013 was Manny Machado’s break-out season. The O’s third baseman hit American League pitching at a .283 clip earning him his first All-Star appearance and became the first Orioles’ third baseman to win the Gold Glove Award since Brooks Robinson.
