Legendary closer Mariano Rivera recorded the 652nd and final save of his Hall of Fame career on September 18th, 2013. Rivera built a career on the strength of his vicious cut fastball, providing a steady hand in the Yankee bullpen for five World Series winning teams. This baseball was used during the September 18th game, which ended with Rivera recording a 1.1 inning save to close out the Yankees 4-3 road victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. This was Rivera’s 44th save of the season, his last in the Major Leagues. Rivera signed the sweet spot of this baseball in blue pen, inscribing “Last Career Save 9/18/13” and “Save #652” beneath his signature. This Official Major League Baseball Allan H. Selig ball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 815370) and a Steiner Sports hologram (SS277268).
