Bronx, N.Y., September 26th, 2013. During the last of the 7th, Mariano Rivera warmed up in the Yankee Stadium bullpen for the very last time. Toeing this very pitcher's rubber, the greatest closer in the history of the game threw strike after strike, waiting for the call that would unleash him against unlucky batters for the final time. Then, the phone rang. Rivera stepped off this bullpen rubber and while the stadium speakers rang out with the intro to "Enter Sandman", ran out towards the mound. This is the pitcher's rubber that was used by him during that last game. The 6" x 6" x 24" professional pitching rubber was dug out of the bullpen turf and presented to Rivera. Commemorating the momentous occasion, Rivera has boldly signed the rubber in black marker adding "Game Used 9/26/13 Last Game in Pinstripes". Letter of Authenticity 200850 from Yankees-Steiner Collectibles and MLB Cert number EK 800898.
