This baseball was used during the Detroit Tigers game against the Texas Rangers on May 16th, 2013 and was hit by Miguel Cabrera for the 1,861st hit of his Major League career. Cabrera picked up his hit in the top of the third inning, doubling against the game’s eventual winner, Yu Darvish. The Rangers emerged as 10-4 victors from this early season contest. Cabrera finished the 2013 season with almost identical statistics to his Triple Crown winning season the year prior, mashing 44 home runs, with 137 RBI and an MLB-best .348 batting average, giving Cabrera his third consecutive batting title. Cabrera also won his second straight American League MVP trophy in 2013, finishing ahead of the likes of Mike Trout, Chris Davis, and Josh Donaldson.

This Official Major League Baseball Allan H. Selig sphere displays excellent game use with abrasion and dirt marks and has been signed on the sweet spot in blue pen by Miguel Cabrera, who has inscribed “24” to the right of his autograph. This item comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AI95422) for the signature, and an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK280790), which authenticates Cabrera hit this ball for a double during the May 16th game, which was his only hit of the contest and 1,861st of his career.
