Rafael Nadal was sidelined for much of the 2012 season after suffering a knee injury but quickly bounced back to have one of the greatest comeback seasons in tennis history. Nadal reached nine finals in as many tournaments, and the tennis great from Spain faced off against Novak Djokovic in the ATP Finals held at the O2 Center in London on November 11, 2013. Djokovic had already bested Nadal during the China Open that September, and Nadal was looking to even the score against the defending champion in the ATP Finals. Nadal would lose a close and hard-fought final to Djokovic, losing 6-3 and 6-4.
This presented teal Nike shirt was worn by Nadal during his loss to Djokovic. The v-neck shirt features a Nike "Swoosh" logo just below the front apex of the collar in black. A gray Nike "Swoosh" logo appears on the inside collar. A "CUSTOM ATHLETE CUSTM MADE IN CHINA FABRIQUE EN CHINE" tag is located on the inside collar. A tag labeled "H0130307SAC CUSTM 610978-408 8834112813105" is located on the inside of the shirt. The back of the shirt features several black dots arranged in a pattern. White trim runs the length of the back of the shirt and terminates on the sleeves. The shirt displays light evidence of match use and contains a small stain on the left lateral side.
