Chicago Cubs star third baseman, World Series champion, and 2016 National League MVP Kris Bryant wore this blue Iowa Cubs batting helmet circa 2014-15. Bryant, the second overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft, had a historic season in 2014 as he reached AAA for the first time. The Vegas native played 68 games in AA before earning his promotion to AAA, playing in 70 games with the I-Cubs and slashing .325/43/110 between the two levels. Bryant played a token seven games in AAA in 2015 as the Cubs delayed his call-up to maintain an extra year of team control over Bryant’s contract. In those seven games, the 2015 All-Star and National League Rookie of the Year hit .321 with three homers and 10 RBI.
This offered Iowa Cubs helmet is blue, with “IOWA” applied to the front of the helmet in red, white, and blue lettering. The front of the helmet features a liberal coating of pine tar. The dual-flapped Rawlings S100 helmet has Bryant’s number “17”, the S100 logo, and a Rawlings logo applied to the back. The helmet displays outstanding use, with scuffing on all sides. The helmet is a size 7 ½. It comes with a LOA from JT Sports.
