New York Mets pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka wore this blue Mets alternate jersey on April 23rd, 2014 against the St. Louis Cardinals at Citi Field. Matsuzaka entered the game in the top of the seventh, after Mets starter Jon Niese allowed a two-out double to Matt Carpenter with the Mets leading 3-1. “Dice-K” entered the game and struck out Cardinals second baseman Mark Ellis swinging to end the Cardinals threat. The Mets went on to win 3-2, with Matsuzaka picking up his first hold of the season.

This blue button-down Mets jersey has “Mets” sewn across the chest in orange and white tackle twill. Matsuzaka’s number “16” is sewn on the chest and back in orange and white tackle twill. A Ralph Kiner memorial patch is sewn on the right sleeve while a Mr. Met patch is sewn on the left sleeve. “MATSUZAKA” is sewn across the back shoulders in orange and white tackle twill below a MLB logo patch. The jersey is accented with orange piping and a Majestic size “48” tag is applied to the front left tail. A Majestic QR code tag is applied below the size tag. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 679639) that dates the use of this jersey to the April 23rd contest.
