Befitting his status among “Yankees Legends” Derek Jeter bowed out in memorably dramatic fashion, rapping a walk-off game winning single to defeat the Baltimore Orioles in the bottom of the ninth inning of his final game at Yankee Stadium on September 25, 2014. Three days later, rival Red Sox fans rose in unison to give Jeter a standing ovation as he stepped to the plate at Fenway Park for the first at bat of his final Major League game.

     Jeter’s farewell tour provided plenty of similar Hallmark® moments along the way. This set of MLB Authenticated pinstriped Yankees home jersey (HZ164974) and pants (HZ164977) is dated July 27, 2014 and was worn by Jeter during the last game of the Yankees three-game series vs. the Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium when Jeter recorded his 3,417th career hit in the Yankees 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

     This size 46 Majestic button-down pinstriped jersey contains the Yankees iconic interlocking “NY” logo in navy tackle twill on the upper left chest with Jeter’s soon to be retired number “2” in the same navy tackle twill underneath a navy, white and gray MLB logo on the back collar. There is a special “75th YEARS 1939 – 2014 NATIONAL BASEBALL HALL OF FAME” patch sewn on the upper right chest. The MLB Authentic/Majestic manufacturer’s label is sewn onto the left front tail with “2014” size “46” flag tags, along with a Yankees barcode (0000004616) that has the MLB Authenticated (HZ164974) hologram. This jersey shows moderate game use.

     The matching uniform pants have “2 JETER” and “35-40 36 OB ‘14” printed on MLB Authentic/Majestic manufacturer’s label on the interior waist band with MLB Authenticated (HZ164977) and Steiner Sports holograms, with a large dirt stain on the lower right knee and other dirt marks. This historic physical memento of Jeter’s final season additionally comes with pair of Steiner Sports LOAs, authenticating the use of the both the jersey and pants for the July 27th game.
