New York Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury wore this white home jersey on August 9th, 2014. Although the Yankees were defeated 3-0 at home against the Cleveland Indians, Ellsbury finished the game 2-3 with a double as the rest of the Yankees failed to back up Brandon McCarthy’s excellent start. Ellsbury, the Yankees starting centerfielder, finished the 2014 season with 16 home runs, 70 RBI, and 39 stolen bases for the second-place Bronx Bombers.
This jersey is a white, pinstriped button down model with the Yankees interlocking “NY” logo sewn on the left breast in navy blue tackle twill. Ellsbury’s number “22” is sewn on the back in navy blue tackle twill beneath a navy and gray MLB logo. A Majestic tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. “2014”, “44”, and “-.5” Sleeve” flags are sewn on to the tag. Ellsbury signed the second “2” on the back of the jersey in silver marker. This item comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AB16485) for the signature, and a Steiner Sports LOA for game use. Additionally, a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 306286) dates the jersey to use on the August 9th game.
