While he has been one of the most dominating pitchers over the last two seasons, the 2014 Jake Arrieta was beginning to show flashes of his immense overall talent. On July 27, 2014 the Chicago Cubs franchise played their game in this powder blue pinstripe Turn Back the Clock jerseys from 1978.

      The knit pullover has the name “CHICAGO” across the chest with the number “49” below with the number also centered squarely on the reverse. The lower front tail features the “Majestic Authentic” tag with attached “48” size and year “1978” flag tags, with the popular Cubbies logo on the left shoulder. The number “9” on the reverse has the MLB Authenticed hologram affixed (HZ 567914) indicating this jersey was worn on that date by Arrieta. Also included in the lot is the matching pants which has the Majestic tag in the waist band with white strip tag stitched in black with “49 35-46 24 OB C 1978” and also has a MLB Authenticated hologram sticker (HZ 567953) affixed to the manufacturers tag.
