Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell wore this white jersey during three Lions road games during the 2014 NFL season. This was one of the Lions best seasons of the millennium as they finished 11-5, making only their second playoff appearance since 1999. Bell was a big part of their success, rushing for a team-high 860 yards and seven touchdowns and forming a fearsome “thunder and lightning” combination with Reggie Bush in the Detroit backfield. Bell wore this jersey for three road games: September 28th against the Jets, October 12th against the Vikings, and October 26th against the Falcons. The Lions won all three of these games, with Bell’s best performance coming against the Vikings, rushing for 74 yards and a touchdown during the Lions 17-3 victory. Bell rushed for 145 total yards in these games, which were crucial to the Lions playoff run.
This jersey is white, with Bell’s number “35” sewn on the front, back, and shoulders in blue, gray, and black tackle twill. “LIONS” is embroidered in blue on the front, while a “WCF” patch honoring William Clay Ford is sewn on the left breast. “BELL” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue and black tackle twill on a white nameplate. A vinyl NFL shield is attached to the collar. A Nike size “40 L-BK” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. “2014” and “+4 Length” flags are sewn on the tag. This jersey shows very heavy use, including repairs to the right sleeve. It is replete with turf stains. This jersey comes with a NFL/PSA/DNA COA, however this certificate dates the jersey to a home game on October 5th, when the Lions wore their blue jersey.
