After an 89-73 finish to the 2014 regular season, good for just second place in the AL Central, the Kansas City Royals absolutely caught fire in the playoffs. Their run was so incredible that they didn’t lose a single game until they reached the World Series, after defeating the Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Baltimore Orioles on the way to the American League pennant. Kansas City lost to the San Francisco Giants, four games in three, in the World Series. Lorenzo Cain led the Royals during the regular season with a .301 batting average while the team’s relief corps trio of Wade Davis (1.00 ERA), Kelvin Herrera (1.41 ERA) and Greg Holland (1.44 ERA) was dominant.

Presented here is a Jostens 10K gold 2014 Kansas City Royals American League championship ring top pendant featuring the team’s “KC” logo – highlighted in blue – set on a baseball field design and surrounded by diamonds. “AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS” reads around the perimeter. The back of the pendant features the Royals logo and reads “2014 AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS VENTURA © JOSTENS 10K”.  This item weighs approximately 24.1 grams.
