After two consecutive American League MVP Awards, including a Triple Crown, it didn't seem like anything could stand in the way of Miguel Cabrera's march to Cooperstown. 2014 proved to be more of the same, where he had a .309 average, 109 RBI and a league-leading 54 doubles. This offered Maple Bat Co. MC1 model bat is one of the bats he used during that season. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. The handle has a moderate coating of Mota Stick and there is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009. The top barrel has marked in black ink the bat’s length “34”, weight “32”, date of manufacture “5 13 14”, model number “MC1” and order number “14176”, along with Cabrera’s number “24”. Cabrera has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “TRIPLE CROWN 2012 AL MVP 2012-13” below. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19097) for the game use and has been given the highest possible grade of GU 10. Additionally, there is a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
