After being runner up for both the 2012 and 2013 AL MVP Award, Mike Trout finally grabbed the prize in 2014 by batting .287 with 111 RBI, 36 home runs, 39 doubles, 9 triples and 16 stolen bases. Trout was at the beginning of his MVP-bound season when he used this bat in the June 10, 2014 game against visiting the Oakland A’s. This bat was cracked in the first inning when the Angels slugger flied out while batting against Drew Pomeranz. This Old Hickory MT27* model bat shows excellent use with a repaired handle crack. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are visible along with cleat imprints and evidence of a weighted batting donut. The lower handle and knob has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and a light coat of Mota Stick was applied. Trout has signed the barrel in silver pen adding “G/U 14 MVP.” This bat comes with a Mike Trout signed LOA from Anderson Authentics for the signature and game use and a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ100724), along with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B11233), who have graded this bat a near-perfect GU 9 for the game use.
