After finishing second to Miguel Cabrera in the 2012 and 2013 American League MVP races, Los Angeles Angels superstar centerfielder Mike Trout finally overcame his Cabrera Curse in 2014, when he ran away with his first AL MVP award. Trout, in his age-22 season, crushed 36 home runs, and led the American League with 111 RBI despite hitting second in the Angels batting order. Trout led all of baseball with 115 runs scored and 338 total bases and received all 30 of the first-place votes for MVP.  Trout repeated his MVP feat in 2016 and again in 2019, and is widely regarded as the best batter in baseball.

These Nike Air Max MVP Elite cleats are primarily black, with red trim and a white Nike swoosh located on each side of the cleats. The soles of the cleat are white and red, and feature 9 metal cleats each. The laces are red, and the outside toe area is white. Trout has signed the toe of each cleat in black marker, inscribing “14 G/U” next to each signature. These cleats display moderate game use and come with a LOA from Anderson Authentics signed by Trout with two corresponding holograms (3737 & 3738) that are on both the LOA and on each cleat.
