Trout, the consensus best player in baseball, won his first American League MVP award in 2014 after hitting .287 with 36 homers and an AL-best 111 RBI. The New Jersey native added 39 doubles, nine triples, and 115 runs for the American League West Division champions. These Nike MVP Elite Pro batting gloves are red and white, with a silver and red Nike swoosh applied to the top of each hand. “MVP ELITE PRO” is applied to the top of each wrist strap, while a “27” tag is sewn on the underside of each wrist. Trout has signed the top of each batting glove in black marker, inscribing “14 G/U” in addition to each signature.
