Left fielder Starling Marte used this Dinger M-6 model bat during the 2014 season in which he hit 13 home runs, drove in 56 and batted .291. This bat displays heavy game use and has a large crack on the handle. This bat was cracked during a ninth inning at-bat against Cincinnati’s Aroldis Chapman on September 28, 2014, where Marte got a single. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. The barrel has a cupped end and Marte signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “6”. This bat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 502541), authenticating that this bat was broken during the ninth inning at-bat on September 28, 2014. There is also a hologram from Fanatics Authentic (GUBB-010117) for Marte’s signature.
