Ortiz’s 3 RBI put his career total at 1,637, which was one more than “Mr. Cub’s” 1,636 and helped lead the Red Sox past the O’s 7-0 at Fenway Park in Boston. Ortiz also came into the game tied with Boggs on the all-time doubles list at 578 and recorded three doubles to push his total up to 581.
