In the 4th inning of the May 15, 2015 game against Pittsburgh, Cubs rookie sensation Kris Bryant hit a Jeff Locke offering to left-center, clearing the ivy for a three run homer. It was Bryant’s 4th career home run and his 21st, 22nd and 23rd career RBI to put the Cubs up over Pittsburgh. In the bottom of the 7th, still using this Victus bat, Bryant hit a broken bat sacrifice fly ball off Jared Hughes that drove in career RBI number 24. The four RBI afternoon was a harbinger of great things to come for both the Cubs and Bryant - Kris would go on to win the 2015 Rookie of the Year Award and then proceed to be the catalyst that brought a World Championship to the Northside the next season.

This two-tone Victus bat was the one Bryant used to hit that three-run shot on his way to becoming the first Cubbie to win the Rookie of the Year Award since 2008. The Victus KB17T model bat shows good game use with a crack in the lower handle. The barrel shows several distinctive ball marks with white leather ball scuffs, one of them Bryant’s home run shot. The handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and the lower handle has been sanded down to enhance the grip. Bryant has signed the barrel in silver pen adding 2015 NL ROY”. The bat comes with a full MLB Authenticated hologram (JB086172) for the game use and signature. This bat has also been photo matched to the May 15th game by Resolution Photomatching.
