Known as a basketball school, the Duke Blue Devils had a solid season in 2015 and were awarded an invitation to the Pinstripe Bowl that is annually held at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. Duke, of the ACC, would take on the Big Ten’s Indiana University and defeat them 44-41 in overtime to win their first bowl game since beating Arkansas in the 1961 Cotton Bowl. Presented here is a 2015 Pinstripe Bowl championship ring. This Balfour celestrium ring has the “NEW ERA PINSTRIPE BOWL NYC 2015” logo on the top, surrounded by 47 cz stones and “CHAMPIONS” in raised relief at the bottom. The right shank has “FERGUSON”, a raised image of Yankee Stadium and a Duke University logo “D” on a football below. The opposite shank has “NEW ERA PINSTRIPE BOWL” in raised lettering at the top and Duke University and Indiana University logos below, with helmets from the ACC and BIG10, plus the score of the game “44-41”. The inside band has “#dukegang”, “First Bowl Win Since 1961” and “BALFOUR CE”. This ring is a size 13 and weighs approximately 33.81 grams.
